Immortals Scroll
In order to inherit and carry forward the traditional Chinese culture and help the protection of cultural relics, the China Cultural Center in Brussels, the Shanghai Museum and the Shanghai Cultural Relics Exchange Center have launched the column “Through Ancient and Modern • Cultural Relics Are Lively”.
This anonymous painting in baimiao style (plain drawing) dates back to the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368). It depicts three immortals in loose robes and a youth wearing leaves. An adorable tiger is curling behind the youth’s legs.
