Dragon Boat Festival
Summer is in full swing. The season welcomes longer and warmer days as well as the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese summer festival. It is celebrated each year on the fifth day of the fifth month according to the Chinese calendar. The Dragon Boat Festival is one of the four main traditional Chinese festivals and was the first of those four to make UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage.
The festival has a long history and is associated with a variety of customs.
