Shanghai Chinese Orchestra – The Bund

Happy Chinese New Year to all! We celebrate with the second installment of the online performances and exhibitions by the Center for Shanghai International Arts Festival. Today you can enjoy “The Bund” by the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra.

“The Bund” is a folk concert created by the famous German composer and conductor Christian JOST, jointly commissioned by the Center for Shanghai International Arts Festival and the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra. It is inspired by the ancient Greek Odyssey and tells the epic story of Shanghai, a charming city where old and new blend together. The concert is visually accompanied by the work of Shanghai painter MAO Donghua, “Shadow of the Bund”.
