Mount Emei between the clouds
Mount Emei is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains. It is located in Sichuan province and home to stunning Buddhist monuments. In addition to the Buddhist architecture, you can also appreciate the beautiful scenery surrounding Mount Emei. Most illustrious might be Mount Emei’s Golden Summit, 3077 meters high, where you can gaze upon the sea of clouds below.
Mount Emei has been listed as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site in December 1996. Today, the China Cultural Center in Brussels virtually introduces you to this iconic place through a series of photos.
One of the amazing sites at Mount Emei is the Dafo Temple, or the Great Buddha Temple, the starting point of each visit or pilgrimage. The temple, with its magnificent building structure, was built in the Ming dynasty, during the reign of Emperor Wanli.
