Synopsis

Sam, Chill and Yip have been best friends for ten years but are somehow drifting apart. Sam, who used to be admired by his superiors, is about to be transferred to an obscure job. Yip is promoted to become the station chief by selling out his best friend. The hot-headed Chill is always a rule-breaker and his marriage has fallen apart. The relations among the three men have become intense with all these secrets. The explosion at a power station leads to Hong Kong falling into a complete blackout and people trapped in the life-threatening fire. While the fire-fighters are trying to save lives and fight the deadly smoke in complete darkness, they also need to deal with their own issues. Moreover, orders are coming from the top to minimize damage. Should they obey to the orders to keep the overall situation under control or try to rescue as many lives as possible even at the expenses of their own? This fire is not only about rescue, but redemption among brothers. Will their efforts dissipate the heavy smoke over their friendship as well?
