Ancient camphor trees

Do you remember the ancient weir painting village in Lishui city? There is more beauty to explore in the Liandu district! Today, we present the awe-inspiring clusters of thousand-year-old trees, one of them guarding the picturesque village with its evergreen presence.

The district counts 14 camphor trees that are over 1200 years old. The ancient camphors are tall and majestic, growing 15 meters and higher. Among them is a 1500-year-old camphor tree that has been struck by lightning many times, leaving its trunk hollow. Yet it has survived and become a marvelous relic.
