Synopsis
The great heritage of Chinese culture is the crystallization of the wisdom of the Chinese nation. Over many millennia, the richness of Chinese culture has not only permeated the history of Chinese civilization and the lives of generations of Chinese people, but also had a tremendous impact on the history and culture of the Western world, particularly after the opening of the “Silk Road” in the Han Dynasty. Throughout history, Chinese culture has also continually renewed itself, giving rise to numerous sages, scientific and technological inventions and artistic gems. The interplay of diverse regional and ethnic cultures is further testament to the all-encompassing and tolerant nature of Chinese culture. In contemporary China, a brand new cultural landscape is adding new colors to the rainbow of global cultural diversity.
